Victory Welding V80009310 All-Position Hardfacing Electrode 3/32 Inch Diameter Martensitic Weld Deposit

Item Code: V80009310.HG
All-position, AC/DC hardfacing electrode for mild, carbon or alloy steel, and manganese steel subjected to severe abrasion and considerable impact while requiring corrosion resistance. High deposition efficiency and easy slag removal; produces an extremely hard martensitic weld deposit which is not machineable in the as-welded condition. Commonly used on excavation equipment, dipper and bucket teeth, mill hammers, concrete mixer blades, plow edges, augers, and scraper blades. Recommended use with AC or DC+ (reverse polarity). Recommended welding parameters and mechanical properties are listed in the manufacturer's V-800 technical data sheet. Instructions: Remove any work hardened area to be welded by using Chamfer Rod or Cut Rod. Preheating is not required. Using AC or DC+ (reverse polarity), maintain a medium to short arc length and the weaving technique to deposit two layers. If more than two layers are required then V-300 should be used to create a buffer or padding layer prior to using V-800. Remove slag between passes and allow to air cool.
